Tampa Strip Clubs: Manatee strip club worker injured in brawl

MANATEE — Deputies arrested three men on battery charges after a brawl with an employee of the Paper Moon strip club and another man, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report. The Paper Moon employee was treated for injuries at the business in the 100 block of Cortez Road, while one of his three attackers had to be hospitalized, the sheriff’s report said. At 3:35 a.m. Sunday, the employee went into the parking lot to look for a watch a customer said he had lost. During the search, the customer, Rafael Torres, 28, became angry with the victim and started shouting at him. Then from behind a friend of Torres, Miguel Zavala-Lagunas, punched the victim in the mouth, according to the sheriff’s report.
The two men, and a third person, Luis Garcia-Murrieta, then started to hit the victim. Another man in the parking lot joined the fight trying to defend the victim. Deputies arrived to find the five men brawling in the parking lot of the strip club, the sheriff’s office said.
