June 4, 2010

PERRY TWP., Pa. — Three women were taken into custody on prostitution charges during a raid on a local massage parlor, according to authorities.
The Berks County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force said it began its investigation into the Peace of Mind Spa on Route 61 in Perry Township, just north of Shoemakersville, after receiving complaints about possible prostitution taking place inside.
During their investigation, detectives said they went undercover and met with Xiangdan Li, Sungnam Yang, and In Suk Saunders two separate times. The detectives said the women offered to provide them sexual services in exchange for money.

Detectives said they also searched the massage parlor and seized surveillance cameras, cash, condoms, numerous documents, and various items associated with prostitution.

This is the sixth raid for alleged prostitution at a massage parlor in Berks County since the start of the year.
