Woman accused of soliciting Dade City police officer for prostitution

DADE CITY — The attire gave every indication that this was a lawman.
Pasco Sheriff’s Deputy Kip Mello wore a star on his shirt, a gold badge on his belt next to a handgun and Taser.
He held a police radio in his hand.
None of this seemed to deter Laquila Monique Courtney.
On the corner of Porter Road and Bowman Street in Dade City, she leaned in the window of Mello’s car and offered him oral sex for $20, the deputy reported.
Mello told her he didn’t have the money and would have to go to an ATM. He returned 20 minutes later and she was still there.

She remained in the Land O’Lakes jail on Wednesday, charged with solicitation of prostitution and possession of paraphernalia.
