Clearwater Police arrested and charged six women with prostitution after using the Internet including sites like Craigslist to pose as “Johns.”
The investigation targeted online prostitution advertisements.
“We use a variety of tools and methods to investigate cases and make arrests,” said Elizabeth Watts, police spokeswoman. “Solicitation online is present and to combat it we must be online too.”
Detectives met the following women at an undisclosed location in Clearwater before they were taken into custody:
