Tampa Adult Entertainment: Woman hits officer’s car in funeral procession

Today, Hillsborough County deputies were providing escort service for the funeral of a fallen soldier that was killed in Iraq when a woman cut into the procession and struck one of the deputies’ vehicles.
The accident happened in the area of Reynolds Street West and John Martin Street. The driver, Shannon Lima-Jones, exited the parking lot of a Dairy Queen and cut into the funeral procession line. Once in the line, she decided to make a left to exit the procession and turned into the path of the motor unit that was assisting with the funeral.
Deputy Daryl Bowden was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Shannon Lima-Jones was cited for: Failure to Yield to a Funeral Procession, Failure to Yield Right of Way and No Proof of Insurance.
